RFA Engineering Industrial Engineer - Agriculture Equipment in Ankeny, Iowa

RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is looking for a growth oriented candidates that want to join our team at our customer's facility in Ankeny, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidates will work with our engineering staff and our customer's staff to support the production of highly engineered mobile equipment using state of the art engineering tools.

Job Description

  • Participate, generate, validate, facilitate and/or conduct Quality Plan Levels, Design Reviews, System, Design, Process FMEAS, Design Process and Assembly Reviews, Gage R&Rs and Capability studies for components and assemblies.

  • Prepare process/ assembly control plans.

  • Support virtual and physical builds.

  • Perform Routing Quality Assessments (RQA) and Process Quality Assessments (PQA) for virtual and pre-production builds.

  • Prepare audit and inspection plans and audit check sheets.

  • Create and approve temporary deviations.

  • Create documentation for all required corrective action requests derived from various quality planning activities and various build events.

  • Execute problem solving tools (3L5Y root cause analysis, Fishbone, Critical to Quality, etc.).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering degree or a applicable technical engineering degree.

  • Background in weld manufacturing shop floor environment.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbies

  • Excellent communication both written and verbal

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to thrive in a team environment

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities.

  • Working knowledge of database management tools.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with all levels of wage, salaried and management personnel in a team environment.

  • Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design or manufacturing.

  • Travel up to 25% domestically.
