Renewable Energy Group Senior Coordinator I, REGFUEL Customer Support (Friday-Monday) in Ames, Iowa


The purpose of this job is to be responsible for and assist with account and contract management, customer service relationships, and sales operations in a fast paced environment. To evaluate and seek out process improvements on efficiencies.


Account/Contract Management(35%)

  • Effectively handle and manage REG top accounts

  • Scheduling and entering orders in EKA/JD Edwards

  • Validating pricing

  • Monitoring volume remaining on contracts

  • Work with carriers in arranging delivery based on customer demand

Customer Service (30%)

  • Ability to resolve and manage difficult customer situations

  • Effective communication with customers (phone/email)

  • Positive relationships with other departments that help facilitate customer satisfaction

  • Follow through on receipt of deliveries

  • System integrations with customers

  • Monitor contract volumes

Sales Operations (25%)

  • Processing Bill of Lading (BOL) paperwork

  • Running various reports to keep all financial reporting up to date

  • Understand interdepartmental policies

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient product to meet customer demand

Other frequent duties:(10%)

  • Ability to train personnel on all systems and exhibit “Super User” qualities

  • Mandatory overtime to complete week/month end processing

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Preferred Education: 4-year Bachelor’s degree –Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related business degree preferred; Experience may be substituted for education

Preferred Experience: 2 – 5 years of experience

Skills Required:

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Extensive math and accounting skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • 10-key adding machine skills

Special skills, knowledge, or certifications preferred:

  • JD Edwards

  • EKA

  • Sales Force

  • Commodity management software experience
