Account Manager Requisition ID: 17633 Job Location(s): Ames, US, 50011 Job Description Danfoss is looking for an Account Manager who will be responsible for growing profitable business, strengthening the customer relationship, and communicating the voice of the customer within the organization regarding commercial and market needs. The Account Manager will identify, develop, and win business at assigned accounts while leading efforts in major strategic development programs and congruently build and maintain strong partnerships with Danfoss Business Units.Job Responsibilities * Develop customer relationships and act as primary sales representative for Danfoss, servicing specific accounts and/or a designed geographical area.* Develop an understanding of the customer's structure, products and decision-making processes.* Analyze the current account status and potential, using different information sources as input such as allMID data, market data, the account's strategic plan, Danfoss Power Solutions product development roadmap and apply Value Selling techniques to reveal customer's needs (explicit and implicit).* Develop account strategies for relevant accounts as agreed with sales management and Business Unit teams.* Execute by developing timeline, milestones, goals, KPI's and actions while involving all relevant stakeholders internally and externally, e.g. customers' engineering departments, Business Unit stakeholders, etc.* Plan and prepare visits to customers.* Promote and propose PS products, systems and solutions to customers involving the SAE based on defined sales processes.* Prepare and create quotes in line with the valid relevant guidelines .* Negotiate agreements (e.g. pricing, LTA, warranty, etc.) within the guidelines laid down by the BU Sales and Sales Management.* Initiate and orchestrate focused actions to increase customer satisfactions where necessary (e.g. Quality, Delivery) involving the accountable parts of the organization.* Participate in cross-functional and internal projects.* Report and inform the organization of activities (e.g. SalesForce, Expense reporting, DOW, etc.).Background and Skills * Bachelor's degree in Business/Engineering or relevant years of industry experience.* 3 to 5 years of experience in Hydraulics or Electronic industry suitable sales experience, particularly technical sales and knowledge in the designated product and relevant industry sector.* Experience working with CRM and / or SalesForce.* Knowledgeable of mobile hydraulic systems including: Off-highway hydro-static propel systems, hydro-static steering systems, load-sense hydraulic variable pumps and compensated and non-compensated valves systems, hydro-static steering systems, Machine control systems including: CAN-based GUIDE software and programming, Human Machine Interface products and micro-controllers.* Technological capabilities and understanding to communicate in today's business environment.* Ability to listen, gain trust, and bring to closure project plans, open issues and sales opportunities with customers.* Ability to utilize sales processes to uncover customer objections/concerns required to develop appropriate solutions.* Ability to demonstrate strong process discipline that enables pipeline and revenue development.* Ability to collaborate with cross culture teams consisting of diverse nationalities and business segments while operating within a matrix organizationDanfoss - Engineering Tomorrow At Danfoss, we are engineering solutions that allow the world to use resources in smarter ways - driving the sustainable transformation of tomorrow.
