Head HS Boys Track and Field
East Union Community School District is seeking qualified candidates for the Head High School Boys Track and Field Coaching position.
Applicants should possess a strong desire to assist in building a true program and culture, while leading the development of the East Union Boys Track and Field program. Preferred candidates should have a background in coaching throwing events, as well as sprinting events. Along with running and field event knowledge and experience, a qualified candidate should have a strong knowledge base consisting of foundational skills needed to be successful, practice structure, weight lifting program, and accountability processes. A qualified candidate should also be able to work in tandem with the Assistant Coach to ensure practices, workouts, and meets run efficiently and successfully. The preferred candidate will also work closely with other sport's Head Coaches on developing off-season workout plans and assisting with motivating the students to put in the extra work in the off season. A successful candidate will also assist in developing a strong connection between our players and our community with volunteering opportunities and working with the Junior High programs, if needed. The successful candidate will also work closely with the head coach and athletic director to ensure the team is following all school and state expectations. All applicants must possess a coaching endorsement or authorization from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.
