The Adel DeSoto Minburn Middle School is seeking a STEM/Science teacher for the 2024-2025 school year to join our growing district. This position will be a 1.0 FTE at the Middle School located in Adel. ADM MS educates approximately 350 students, is located in Adel, and shares the complex with the High School. This teacher will teach 7th and 8th-grade students daily. The Middle School has a progressive, energetic, and collaborative staff and lives by the motto, Relationships, Relationships, Relationships as they value the connections they make with each student and their drive to have ALL students LEARN. The ideal candidate has a passion for middle school students and increasing their skills in math and science. Applicants must be highly collaborative, demonstrate a passion for STEM and Science education. The ADM staff uses the Professional Learning Community model, and this team member would join a highly collaborative PLC that strives for high levels of student achievement and excellence.Requirements:
Valid Teacher License
Science license for teaching 7th and 8th grade students

Knowledge of practices for a STEM and Science education, including current research and evidence-based instructional practices
This position includes a 7th grade STEM course, 8th grade Science, and 8th grade STEM exploratory class

Strong communication skills
Interest in participating and seeking out professional learning opportunities, implementing strategies and showing a reflective nature to grow professionally
Strong formative and summative data analysis skills to make instructional decisions

Knowledge of using technology to enhance learning
