Description

Robert Half is looking for a data entry clerk with great organizational and time management skills to help out a mid-size company in the Des Moines area. A data entry clerk is responsible for inputting a high volume of data from multiple sources into a database, ensuring that all necessary data is being entered and maintained. In addition, data entry clerks must verify and edit data as needed. Apart from storing, they may also be required to retrieve information when needed.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Compiling, verifying the accuracy, and sorting information to prepare source data for computer entry.

• Reviewing data for errors, correcting any incompatibilities, and checking the output.

• Following safety and confidentiality procedures with documents

• Obtaining further information for incomplete documents.

• Generating reports, storing completed work in designated locations, and performing backup operations.

• Scanning documents and printing files, when needed.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven data entry work experience.

• Excellent typing speed and accuracy.

• Attention to detail with an ability to spot numerical errors.

• Experience using office equipment, like fax machines and scanners.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
