DAVENPORT COMMUNITY SCH DIST 10473-Substitute Teacher in Davenport, Iowa

Davenport Community School District is currently hiring substitute teachers for the 2023-2024 school year

To substitute teach in the State of Iowa you must hold a current Iowa Teaching License, Iowa Substitute Teaching License, or Iowa Substitute Authorization License.

In order for an application to be considered complete, a copy of each of these documents must be uploaded with application:

  • Current Iowa Teaching License, Iowa Substitute Teaching License, or Iowa Substitute Authorization License
  • Current Iowa Mandatory Reporter Child Abuse certificate
  • Current Iowa Mandatory Reporter: Dependent Adult Abuse certificate

2023-24Pay Rates:

  • Base Rate - $129/full day, $64.50/half day
  • Long Term Rate (20 or more consecutive days for same classroom) $173/full day, $86.50/half day
  • Retired Teacher rate - $173/full day, $86.50/half day

Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.
